Coupled with MasterCAM software we are able to take a tool from design to finished product in less time than ever before. Palma's commitment to excellence is showcased by our skills development program in which we developed the nations first state certified Wire EDM apprentice program, and graduated the first state certified Journeyman Programmer/Operator.
WIRE EDM
Whether it's one piece or production quantities, up to 12 inches in thickness, Palma Tool & Die can hold impressive tolerances and provide excellent turnaround time. State-of-the-Art Wire EDM Technology, submerged machining, Anti Electrolysis power supplies, and automatic wire processing provide for extremely fast cutting speeds and ultra fine finishes. We can hold tolerances to +/- .0002, with tapering to 30 degrees. Most conductive materials; tool steels, aluminum, brass, titanium, hastelloy, carbide, graphite, copper and ampco, can be cut efficiently.
EDM HOLE DRILLING
Fast and accurate, hole diameters of .004" to .250" up to 14" deep through hardened steel and most conductive materials.
SINKER EDM
Using 3R tooling for quick and accurate electrode set-ups we can “burn” shapes into tooling that conventional machine centers can not. Further diversifying our machining capabilities.
